I find it hard to believe that people still believe that you can come to Hollywood and be found. Nothing in the world is given, it is earned. Structure your life and don’t give up!

How do you market yourself in today’s market?

1. Volunteer work. Put yourself around like minded people who are a few steps ahead of you. The more things you get involved with the better. Look busy, since most people like to see personal momentum.

2. Photos. Find a creative, hip photographer that has a good network of peeps. These people are connectors and you need to keep them close to you. They aren’t hired to find you work, but if you find a good character they will vest in your success. [I KNOW A FEW]

3. Website. Find a guy that knows what the he’s doing[ME] that can help you develop your brand from all the recent cool stuff you’ve done. Whoever tells you that a website is so vintage, tell them vintage is in. Besides they most likely do not have money in their budget to pay a web developer if they are telling you this. Social media is necessary, but never the primary source for your brand.

4. Network. Get out to events, festivals, there is always something going on in LA. Be sure to always have business cards with you. Not in the budget? Go to www.Vistaprint.com for cheap prints. This is a must!

5. Last but not least create a social media campaign and keep it translucent. Make it a personal journal of your daily ups and downs. If you are actually trying to find success you will become relative to people with the same mentality. These people eventually become supporters and even friends if you let it.

Although I am extremely busy with several projects, I always have time for the next breakout! Please email or message me on Facebook with what you like about yourself or what you are doing. Be creative! =)

Be deranged, and they will make you their leader.

02. Every great man was thought to be insane before he changed the world. Some never changed the world. They were just insane.

03. I don’t fail. I succeed at finding what doesn’t work.

04. It’s always funny until someone gets hurt. Then it’s funnier.

05. When in doubt, do it.

06. A crappy life is a great excuse to live a crappy life.

07. Always apologize first–it annoys the crap out of people.

08. “Losing builds character.” You know who said that? A loser.

09. Laugh, and the world laughs with you. Cry, and the world laughs harder.

10. There’s a one-in six-billion chance that you’ll find your soulmate. And that’s if they’re not dead.

11. Learn from your parents’ mistakes. Use birth control.

12. The government favors the most diplomatic language. That’s why any letter to them should always start with, “Dear turkeys and foul maggots…”

13. Everyone has an enemy. It’s why God gave us baseball bats. Well, He gave us trees, but we knew what He meant.

14. Born free. Taxed to death.

15. I don’t suffer from insanity–I enjoy every minute of it.

16. We are brought into this world cold, weak, and helpless. Then it gets worse.

17. Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder.

18. Passion, manners, and 80 ounces of beer will win the heart of any woman. And if it doesn’t, you’ll be too hammered to remember.

19. If at first you don’t succeed, then drag racing isn’t for you.

20. Take the time to smell the roses. Sooner or later, you’ll inhale a bee and die.

21. No problem is so big and difficult that it can’t be blamed on somebody else.

22. Revenge is good. It’s what separates us from the animals and the hippies.

23. Whenever you’re pissed off, just remember that it’s better than being pissed on.

24. Screwed-up people settle fights through violence. Screwed-up people start wars that could kill millions. Normal people settle fights through cookies, cakes, and pies. Normal people are fat.

25. God bless America. But God, please help Canada.

Written by: Joe Notter

Relationships are a very important part in the process of achieving success. Establishing a new relationship can be easy, but building and maintaining it is the challenge. In this tip I have mentioned a few rules that have been important to me.

Rule #1 – Network. Put yourself out there and network! This is essentially your source to finding the relationships to build. Break your shy tendencies. It’s a negative field that can be broken with reminding yourself on how much success that one person can bring you.

Rule #2 First impressions matter. The successful ones understand the business laws, and sometimes you only have seconds to grab their attention. Be prepared and confident!

Rule #3 – Giving before you take. This gives you a chance to show someone what you’re capable of, and can even express to them your inner beauty. You will be surprised what some will offer you in exchange for taking the initiative and persistence, which can sometimes surpass the politics in business. You can find a great example of this by watching the movie, “Pursuit Of Happiness”.

Rule #4 – Honesty & Loyalty. Keeping honesty in a relationship is also a very important rule and starts from the day you shake their hand. This is mentioned in the “Law Of Correspondence” – Your relationships will mirror your attitude and your personality. Not everyone will be honest or loyal, and there are enough people out there to move on and find the ones who possess this. Why loyalty? You may have received support from someone that helped you achieve your success along the way, and it’s important to bring them with you if you have surpassed them. Not everyone moves at the same pace. These people are the positive ones you need to keep you moving, so it can be very important to stay loyal to their relationship.

Is the glass half full or half empty? Really think about the core of your thinking. The foundation can either place you in a uphill battle or a downhill joy [...]

Is the glass half full or half empty? Really think about the core of your thinking. The foundation can either place you in a uphill battle or a downhill joy ride. Focus on solutions to your challenges, and remove the need for excuses. Excuses eventually become chronic, creating a lack of performance.

What do you mean by turning negative into positive? Well, when you achieve a certain level of SUCCESS, you need to expect things to come with it. These things are in place to simply test you and prepare you for the next level. You will never understand why others will try to break you down(so don’t), their reasoning is only human. Drake said it best, “The more you grow, the more the hate grows.” The only way to be strong is to rise even higher, where the hate will never grow. Meaning stay so focused on your goals that your altitude will increase with it.

Also remember that without these negatives you will not succeed, so it’s important to use it in your favor. If you understand it help others, because it’s never easy, but this part of the process will make you the strongest!

If you want to go tanning, then you are telling your mind that you will feel happy with a tan. If you go to a car wash, you are telling your mind that you will be happy with a clean car.

Now that you know you hold the happiness within your own mind and spirit, how do you battle opposition and maintain these thoughts?

A great quote that I have always lived by is, “Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.”

A great spirit is someone who decided to be happy, and always looking at the brighter side of life. A great spirit is happy within themselves and they are the cause of happiness in others.

The opposition comes due to several emotions. Emotions of anger, grieve and jealousy are developed as they experience happiness in others. These emotions were put here to balance the arrogant happy, but the emotion has no judge to separate humble from arrogance. So unfortunately we need to take the good with the bad.

What about those who irritate us or make us mad? We have the power of choice but most times we react out of anger. Instead of taking a mental time out and knowing that what that person said is about them we unconsciously choose to react. The reaction is usually out of anger or fear. It’s a re-action, not an action.

Stay happy and humble, understanding the opposition since a majority of the mass is unhappy.

We all have different periods in our life that build up tensions that we only see when we analyze our attitudes. This can be done easily by taking a step back to look at the bigger picture about ourselves and our surroundings.

Attitude is a decision

Here are some great attitude questions that we should ask ourselves daily, weekly or monthly:

1. How do you handle yourself when you feel the world is against you?

2. Would you describe yourself as an optimist or a pessimist?

3. How do you react when asked to do something beyond your capabilities?

4. What is your general attitude towards life?

5. When was the last time you had a project that really energized you?

6. How would your mother describe your attitude towards life?

7. Do you attempt to predict how others will react to a given situation or a suggestion?

8. Do you get envious when you see someone else happy?

9. Have you recently lied to get something that you really wanted?

10. How do you act when you’re under pressure?

How did you answer?

There are several more questions, but this is a good start with keeping your mental health, healthy. Having a healthy mind will ensure that we have a righteous character. Life is what YOU make it, keep things on the brighter side!

As we all have had our share of daily struggles in life, I personally have used quotes to help me find answers. Since June of last year I have been posting quotes that I have found useful in my life. Generally these quotes are surrounded with positiveness in attitudes and characters, both business and personal.

As I’ve searched to make a difference in my life, I wondered if the process could help others at the same time? Well there’s a process called “saying is believing”, and in this process a communicator has a lasting effect to recall these things in their personal life and development. Meaning that as I found quotes and sayings that helped me, communicating them to others reminded me in my daily routine as they also helped others. This was very reassuring to be able to connect with people who dealt with similar struggles, sometimes just daily stress and drama. Remember that we are all human in nature and mind, and are made imperfect. Life is a lesson and we should always remind ourselves daily to stay positive and it all starts with our inner thoughts.

10 daily quotes to live by:

1. “I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when their right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust noone but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.” — Marilyn Monroe

2. “You cannot control what happens to you, but you can control your attitude toward what happens to you, and in that, you will be mastering change rather than allowing it to master you.” — Brian Tracy

3. “To be persuasive we must be believable; to be believable we must be credible; credible we must be truthful.” –Edward R. Murrow

4. “Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Watch your words, for they become actions. Watch your actions, for they become habits. Watch your habits, for they become character. Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”

5. “People do not seem to realize that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson

6. “I have no regrets in my life. I think that everything happens to you for a reason. The hard times that you go through build character, making you a much stronger person.” –Rita Mero

7. “I’m not upset that you lied to me, I’m upset that from now on I can’t believe you” — Friedrich Nietzsche

8. “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.” — Henry Ford

9. “Success is not measured by what you accomplish, but by the opposition you have encountered, and the courage with which you have maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds.” — Orison Marden

10. “You plan to fail, when you look for excuses before solutions.” — Joe Notter
